Meeting All Your Prescription Needs

Prescription Benefit - June 1, 2025

Your plan's Value Formulary List can help you and your doctor find the most cost-effective option for treating your health condition. Sometimes you'll find several options, which are all proven to be safe and effective. By choosing a lower-cost medication, such as a generic, you'll save money.

We've provided all the tools and resources you need. You can check the cost of your medications and how much you'll pay, access your list of covered medications, review coverage of specialty medications and more.

Know what medications are covered

Your Value Formulary List

The Value Formulary List includes medication options that treat health conditions safely and effectively and may help you save money. It covers all generic medications and listed brand-name medications. Unlisted brand-name medications are not covered.

What this means for you

The Value Formulary List will continue to apply to all prescriptions you fill for the new plan year starting June 1, 2025. The list changes slightly each year, so make sure to check if your prescriptions are on the list. If you are new to the plan, or if one of your current brand-name medications is not on the list, ask your doctor to write a prescription for a generic or brand-name medication on the list. Reviewing the list early and getting a new prescription from your doctor before June 1, 2025 will help ensure your medication is covered and you don’t have a gap in your therapy.

Maintenance Choice

Maintenance medications are taken regularly for chronic conditions, such as high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, or high cholesterol. After two grace fills, you must fill your long-term medications at a CVS Pharmacy location or CVS Mail Service Pharmacy. Generic maintenance drugs are required to be filled in a 90-day supply and Brand maintenance drugs are required to be filled in a 30-day supply only.
